Generous people

It has been fairly quiet on the Linus front recently, although I know lots of people are beavering away in the background! I have had a few quilt donations, but the major donations have been of rummage! I accept all sorts of fabric and fabric related items which I sell, and then use the money for wadding. This month I had a donation of curtain samples from a friend of my Mum's and then Jenny came with two carrier bags full of curtaining which were surplus to requirements. The ladies at Piecemakers were very generous and at the end of the evening, there was £17.45 in the pot! Here are a couple of the bargain hunters!

Added to which, I had a cash donation of £10 from Jean, who is a nurse at the LRI, which meant that I could buy enough wadding for at least 6 or 8 quilts. Many thanks for all your generosity ladies!

Paula seems to have a Linus quilt ready every time I see her, and this is her latest creation - Dancing Gingerbread Men - or are they star-jumping gingerbread men?!

This quilt has been made to use up five star blocks and various scraps. What a clever idea.

Here are some churn dash blocks in lovely bright colours. The yellow border really sets them off.

Please keep the quilts coming, as they are all fabulous!
