Botcheston WI

Last year I was contacted by Christine, secretary of Botcheston WI to see if I would like to go and give a talk about Project Linus. Well, I like talking, and I like Linus, and they were going to give me a fee which I could use to buy wadding, so what's not to like?

Here I am in full flood, talking about Linus, the quilts and the children. I had taken a selection of quilts which I passed round for the ladies to examine. I can tell you, they were really impressed at the workmanship and the beautiful fabrics.

I couldn't resist showing them the lovely quilt made by the textile students at Ashlawn School, and they thought this quilt was especially gorgeous!

They loved handling and examining the quilts, and not a word of criticism about missing points, mismatching seams or inaccurate quilting was heard! They were a lovely group of ladies, and even went as far as to say that they would be interested in a workshop to make blocks for Linus quilts, later in the year. I would be delighted to see them all again (now I have discovered where Botcheston actually is!) so look out for photos!
