Lots of quilts (and some quilted tops!)

A couple of weeks ago I went to Rocheberie Quilters, and came home with a boot full of lovely quilts. The ladies there are so generous, not to say talented!

This quilt was made by a beginner quilter, who was inspired to take some fabric from the Linus table, and then was unsure what to do with it! I think we'd all agree, she did well with it!

This one, made from leftover half square triangles is made even more attractive by the addition of a star block. The arrangement of the triangles is rather funky!

Another excellent use of left over blocks - can you see that it's actually a kind of strippy? There seems to be no end to the creativity (and thrift) of some people!

This one, while similar to the last one, becomes a sirt of medallion by the inclusion of a panel - a still life! - in the centre. Although the colours aren't all similar, the dark squares unify the design perfectly! This quilt was made from 25 patches, sashed in cream to keep the feel light and airy. The pale blue is a lovely addition.

This quilt was made from some cushion panels - ideal for a budding Bill Oddie!

Here is another scrap quilt, but with the addition of letters. I wonder if the whole alphabet is there? Here are two cot quilts which were made from the jelly roll which was a Christmas gift for members two years ago. Laura chose the colours beautifully. This one is the girl version,

and this one the boy version!

This quilt came through the post from Jo. My daughter has jokingly laid claim to this one - she loves the design and the unusual fabrics. I'm sure a child will love it too.

This weeekend I had a visit from Mary, who brought a lot of fabric, and several quilts.

This one is a complete alphabet, and will be a lovely cot quilt.

Mary also brought back a load of tops which have been long arm quilted by Linda. they are just waiting for some binding and then they're good to go. I'd better get on and finish them!
