We had a new quilter, Maria, who Paula took under her wing, and she proved to be a natural! Not only did she quickly get the hang of the Dutchman's Puzzle blocks (not straightforward at all!) but she also took some home to finish! Way to go!
Julie decided to tackle a 'kit' of nine blocks which were ready to be joined together and bordered. The blocks are all in autumnal colours and will have a farmyard scene border to them.
There were plenty of knitters making bonnets and triangles.
And here is a completed Dutchman's Puzzle quilt! This was finished just in time, as I had a call from Leicestershire Looked After Children's Services. Rosemary had told them about Project Linus and they wondered if they could have quilts for their children too! They were a bit surprised when I said yes, and that I had a pile of quilts waiting, but we quickly arranged to meet and hand over the quilts.
Here are Jo and myself in the car park at Meridian (a good place to meet up) and she is accepting one of the windmill quilts made at Knit and Stitch. This will certainly brighten up anyone's day!
